Student Welfare Schemes

The Student Welfare and Sports Directorate of Tribhuvan University implements various welfare and support schemes in accordance with the statutes, rules, and directives of Tribhuvan University and the University Grants Commission (UGC), Nepal. These schemes are intended to ensure equitable access to higher education, safeguard student well-being, and promote academic excellence through financial assistance, health support, sports incentives, and inclusive welfare services. Some of the welfare schemes provided are: 

1. Scholarship Schemes
   (Merit-based, Need-based, UGC/TU-approved Scholarships)

2. Freeship & Fee Concession Facilities
   (As per TU rules and prevailing statutes)

3. Student Health & Medical Assistance
   (Medical treatment support, emergency health aid, referrals)

4. Student Insurance & Emergency Relief
   (Accidental insurance, disaster and emergency assistance)

5. Support for Students with Disabilities
   (Inclusive education and accessibility support as per UGC norms)

6. Hostel & Residential Facilities
   (Welfare-related accommodation support)

7. Sports Incentives & Welfare Support
   (Sports scholarships, incentives, and medical support for athletes)

8. Counseling & Student Well-Being Services
   (Academic, psychological, and social counseling)

9. Grievance Handling & Student Support Desk
   (In accordance with TU grievance redressal mechanisms)

10. National & International Student Welfare Provisions
