Tribhuvan University (TU) and the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) have reached a 6-point short-term agreement for the successful operation of NPL 2025 Season 2.
The agreement was finalized after a comprehensive meeting held in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Deepak Aryal, Rector Prof. Dr. Khadga KC, Registrar Prof. Dr. Kedar Prasad Rijal, student leaders from various organizations, the full FSU University Campus team, and CAN President Chatur Bdr. Chand, Secretary Paras Khadka (who has also briefed about the organization plan of NPL), members Sudeep Sharma, Shreedhar KC, Anil Adhikari, the heads of TU General Administration and Finance Division, Khalti representative Niraj Karki, the Principal, and the Proctor of University Campus on 2082/07/28. The meeting has provided a mandate to the director, Dr. Parajuli, for the agreement with CAN.
During the meeting on the next day of the amendment, both parties agreed on six important points, including CAN’s contribution of NPR 15 lakhs to the TU Central Student Welfare Fund and NPR 10 lakhs to the FSU Fund of the University Campus. The agreement also ensures strengthened security of the Kanti Ishwari Girls’ Hostel through wired boundary fencing and guarantees smooth, unrestricted movement for TU professors, students, and staff during NPL events without interference from security personnel. Additionally, a no-parking zone will be enforced from the TU Main Gate to the Kirtipur Eye Hospital to maintain safety and mobility, and stall spaces within the cricket ground premises will be allocated to TU students to showcase and promote their products. In return, Tribhuvan University has committed to fully cooperating with CAN to make NPL 2025 a successful national pride event. The agreement has now been forwarded to the Executive Council of Tribhuvan University for final approval according to university norms and regulations.
