Scholarship for International Olympiad Medalists

(Under Tribhuvan University Talent Hunt Program)

The Talent Hunt Scholarship Program is a prestigious initiative dedicated to recognizing and nurturing exceptional young minds who have demonstrated outstanding academic brilliance on the global stage. This scholarship is awarded to students who have earned medals in International Olympiads such as the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO), International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO), International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO), International Biology Olympiad (IBO), International Astronomy & Astrophysics Olympiad (IAAO), and other globally recognized competitions.

Through this program, Tribhuvan University aims to create a strong pathway for Nepal’s brightest students to pursue higher studies and advanced research within the university system. The scholarship serves both as an appreciation of their remarkable achievements and as an investment in the nation’s future scientific and academic leadership.

Key Features of the Scholarship:

• Full or partial tuition waiver for undergraduate studies under Tribhuvan University (as per eligibility criteria).

• Priority consideration for admission into specialized and honors programs where applicable.

• Academic mentorship support from expert faculty and research units within TU.

• Special recognition during university events, sports and talent ceremonies, and academic gatherings.

• Opportunities for participation in workshops, training camps, and advanced talent development activities.

Eligibility:

• Must be a medalist (Gold, Silver, Bronze, or Honorable Mention) in recognized International Olympiads.

• Must have completed higher secondary education or be in the final year of +2 (or equivalent).

• Must apply through the Talent Hunt Portal with supporting documents such as certificates, participation records, and medals.
